अपन बात शुरू करते हैं देश में रेडियो की शुरुआत से। सबसे पहले आज राष्ट्रीय प्रसारण दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर आप सभी को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं!
आज देश में रेडियो प्रसारण को आज 98 साल पूरे हो गए। आज ही के दिन 23 जुलाई 1927 को तत्कालीन वायसराय लार्ड इरविन ने बॉम्बे प्रसारण केन्द्र का उद्घाटन कर इसकी शुरुआत करते हुए मान्यता दी थी। जबकि इससे पहले देश में रेडियो प्रसारण की पहली शुरुआत जून 1923 को रेडियो क्लब मुंबई द्वारा किया गया था। इंडियन स्टेट ब्राडकास्टिंग सर्विस को 8 जून 1936 को 'आल इंडिया रेडियो' का नाम दिया गया। आजादी के पहले तक भारत में कुल नौ रेडियो स्टेशन थे। देश विभाजन के बाद तीन पाकिस्तान में चले गए। आल इंडिया रेडियो 470 घरेलू प्रसारण सेवा केन्द्रों के साथ 92% क्षेत्रफल तथा 99.19 आबादी तक देश के 23 भाषाओं और 179 बोलियों में सूचना, शिक्षा और मनोरंजन की सेवाएं दे रहा है। यह शुरुआत से ही अपने उद्देश्य :बहुजन हिताय, बहुजन सुखाय" का अनुसरण कर रहा है। देश में तकनीकी रूप से तीन प्रकार के रेडियो जिनमें मीडियम वेव, शार्ट वेव और एफ एम प्रसारण केंद्र काम कर रहे हैं। वर्तमान में इंटरनेट या डिजिटल रेडियो का भी प्रचालन काफी तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। उदारीकरण के बाद निजी रेडियो चैनलों की संख्या में काफी वृद्धि हुई। इसके साथ-साथ भारत में सामुदायिक रेडियो का भी विकास हो रहा है। मई 2020 तक देश में 290 सामुदायिक रेडियो स्टेशनों का परिचालन हो रहा है।

Radio broadcasting in India completes 98 years today. On this day, 23 July 1927, the then Viceroy Lord Irwin inaugurated the Bombay Broadcasting Center and recognized it by starting it. Whereas before this the first start of radio broadcasting in the country was done in June 1923 by Radio Club Mumbai. The Indian State Broadcasting Service was renamed 'All India Radio' on 8 June 1936. Before independence, there were a total of nine radio stations in India. After the partition of the country, three migrated to Pakistan. All India Radio is providing information, education and entertainment services in 23 languages and 179 dialects of the country covering 92% of the area and 99.19 population of the country with 470 domestic broadcasting service centers. It has been following its objective "Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay" from the very beginning. Technically there are three types of radios in the country which are medium wave, short wave and FM broadcasting stations. At present the operation of internet or digital radio is also increasing very fast. After liberalization the number of private radio channels increased significantly. Along with this, community radio is also developing in India. As of May 2020, there are 290 community radio stations operating in the country.
